Daily Didactic

Left to our own, we leapt out of bed at 7:45 and headed to the Balanced Rock Cafe for an enormous breakfast at a bargain price. Gotta pack in those calories for a travel day that begins in Utah and ends in Anchorage.
We returned to our home away from home, packed our sorted gear, filled our 4Runner, and angled toward Salt Lake City airport. We stopped long enough to strike out at Blick Art Supplies (no sketch books for Theresa) and refill our rental’s gas tank to the half full we found it at. Right on time, we returned our rig and wheeled our checked baggage to the Alaska counter. Practice makes perfect.
The rest of the day was thankfully simple. We had a smooth flight to SeaTac, a few hours in the Centurion lounge with ridiculously good chicken and halibut, and an equally easy flight to Anchorage. Landing a little before 10:30 was just cream on top for a couple of red eye flyers, ending what is becoming an anticipated spring tradition.

Where we slept last night.
