Daily Didactic

Day two started in the far too early 8:00 o’clock hour. Brian fumbled his way through trying to make coffee in a doll house while Theresa slept. By the time she woke up and rolled over, he’d made quite a mess.

Coffee, tea and a couple of bagels in hand, we motored on into Tok and stopped to gas up. Middle Eastern wars and all are going to make this a spendy drive. Brian then attached our new mobile internet appliance to the roof. We know, we are sorry, we dislike Elon as much as you should.

The road to the border has clearly been worked on since we were here two months ago, but the road on through Beaver Creek and Burwash Landing remains bad. We supped at Talbot Arms in Destruction Bay, something that had never occurred to us before and that we would absolutely do again. The road on to Pine Lake Provincial Campground north of Haines Junction was lovely and it was with a sense of accomplishment that we called it a night.
