Daily Didactic

A day of rest and relaxation in Whitefish actually begins at 7:00am, due to Theresa's excitement over finding a town she can run in. As she bounced off into the distance, Brian rose to the best shower he's seen in a week and a cup of coffee while sitting under the Quik Shade in the morning sun. The remainder of the morning was spent by Brian making up neglected web page daily narratives and Theresa reading yet another Jon Krakauer climbing book. In the early afternoon we headed downtown to Central street and parted company. Theresa did that window shopping art thing and Brian visited a pawn shop, the Black Star Brewery, the library, and other local hot spots. After a late lunch we headed 15 miles south to the urban center of Kalispell with a laundry list of needs. We proceeded to visit every big box store we could find (WalMart, KMart, Shopko) in search of a space heater to take the dampness created by rainy weather out of the bus. It is apparently not the season for space heaters in this part of the country. It is depressing to put your faith in Sam Walton and be let down. Reheated mexican food fueled the uploading of a week's worth of web pages in the lobby of the motel that keeps our RV park behind it. Theresa plotted tomorrow's route through Glacier National Park and on to the Great Plains, and then we hit the hay.
