Daily Didactic

We began our morning with a late start to compensate for a later evening out watching "trad" music. After our eighth excellent breakfast we motored up and over the spectacular Conner Pass, on through Tralee, and skirted Limerick on the south to the Parish of Kilteely. In the Parrish we found a memorial to the church where Cori's great-great-(-great?)grandparents were married and her family name in the local cemetery. It was pretty cool. From Kilteely we drove to the town of Cashel, for a bite to eat and a tour of The Rock Of Cashel. The rock is holding up the former home of the archbishop and is another incredibly impressive stone structure. After some brave castle touristing in a rain storm (as with most, this one has no roof left) we drove from Cashel to Dublin, dropped off the car at the airport, and caught a cab to Grafton street. We checked into our room, which turns out to be an awesome funky small apartment with a kitchen and a couple of rooms, and headed down to Grafton for a plate of pasta. We returned home a few hours later, a good first night in the big city.
