Day Ten - Jun 22, 2011
Dublin, Ireland
Daily Didactic
Today was a professional day of touristing in Dublin. We rose at a respectable time and headed across the street for our complimentary breakfast, which thankfully was not another "full Irish". On the advice of our cab driver yesterday we decided to do the double decker tour bus loop, or the "hop on, hop off". We headed down through Temple Bar in the drizzling rain and found our ride across the street from the historic G.P.O.. This turned out to be the perfect way to get our bearings and we rode half the loop before hopping off at the National Art Gallery for a break. Here we stumbled across a Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera exhibit, which had Theresa all giddy. The rest of the day was an impressively efficient nexus of us hitting the spots and Dublin taking our money. We saw the Book of Kells, hit Temple Bar for lunch, walked in St. Stephen Green, toured the Guinness factory, and had a wonderful dinner off Grafton street. We returned to our penthouse late and, over desert, reflected on an awesome trip to Ireland.
