Daily Didactic

Today we got up early for us to get to the top of the hill behind us before the sun hit the trail. Fortunately being on the dark side of the ridge makes this is pretty easy and our 9:10 start was perfectly adequate. It was still an energetic hike, but it was much cooler than two days ago. It was also practically unoccupied compared to then. Interestingly, from the top we could see the first wave of cruise ship folks coming off the boat and heading into the old city. We took the longer and more leisurely hike down the back way again and just generally enjoyed ourselves. We hit... wait for it... our new favorite lunch spot again. That's three for three. It's one of those places where you say to yourself, "I have to eat here as often as I can, because I'm leaving in a few days." So we did. We took another long leisurely afternoon of arting and computing, and Brian found another nearby hostel to print out our bus tickets for tomorrow. Eventually, we ate some more leftovers and went for a short marina walk in the later evening.
