Daily Didactic
The day started with a few hours of last minute packing and preparation for 75 days away from the house. We were dropping off our vehicle in Brian's folk's back yard by 9:30am and to the wrong terminal at the airport by 10:00. Turns out Condor Air doesn't leave from the international terminal, but from the domestic terminal. A surprise to us. After an hour and a half of airport time we were finally seated, with the prospect of 10 hours on a plane ahead. The flight was calm and uneventful, if not cattle car-ish and full of bad movies. We landed in Frankfurt at 8:30am, which was actual 12:30 the night before in Anchorage...
Today's Photos
Us and the crowd for Frankfurt.
Hiding in the corner.
This is not the way we traveled to Ireland last year.
Yet we remain happy.
Like the air sickness bag.
Leg room enough for Brian. Barely.
Alaska ends as we head over the pole.
Ice pack in the Arctic Ocean.
A warm, if not inspired, meal.
Descending on Frankfurt.
Or cruising past Stonehenge, depending on your point of reference.
Germany. Looks familiar.
Frankfurt welcomes us.
This-a-way to the start of our Eurail journey.
