Daily Didactic

Shutters. We've got to get some. They keep the interior of the apartment nearly black until you open them. It is a wonderful solution for sleeping in when it has become bright out. We rose a little before 9:00 and whipped up some Ballaro Market breakfast. We went for a walk trying to find wi-fi. It turns out that when you are renting a room "internet" here does not mean wifi, it might mean a cable connection. We don't have anything that takes a wired connection, so this the second place we haven't had internet. We did find some internet on a quick walk and uploaded a day to the website and checked email. We then packed up and headed out for the day's target, our first catacombs. Long story short, we explored much of Palermo (purposefully and not), had an authentic lunch, and saw a lot of dead bodies. A little weird on that last item. We made it back to our flat late in the afternoon and enjoyed our terrace until it was time for another dinner of tuna and fresh produce. We really like Palermo.
